Whether it's an intimate soirée or a grand-scale event with thousands of attendees, they create curated liquid offerings for groups, business, and philanthropic entities of all sizes.
All the while, they relentlessly stand behind the fact that "it tastes better when it’s pretty".
Ladies of Libation, is the creative, playful force behind that extra special, cocktail experience that you’ve had at hotspots like Sugar Room, Pier 6, Sporting Club, Bungalow and Wild.
Laurie Harvey
the founder of Ladies of Libation, a full-scale bar and restaurant consulting and luxury event business.
Laurie's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. She caught the hospitality bug while working for a large restaurant group. Following a brief stint as an ER nurse, Laurie's move to Nevada saw her founding a banked track roller derby league, however, her calling to the hospitality world persisted, leading her from divey roller derby bars to the heights of fine dining establishments, showcasing her comprehensive experience in bar service.
Her journey soon brought her back to the Lone Star State, where Laurie left her mark on Houston's culinary scene, collaborating with top chefs and honing her knack for crafting exquisite, chef-driven cocktails. Her dedication, innovation, and numerous accolades swiftly propelled her to the forefront of Houston's vibrant beverage landscape.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Laurie finds joy in indulging in fancy champagne and treasuring moments with her husband and adult daughters. Remarkably, her family members are also standouts in Houston's hospitality scene, underscoring the legacy of excellence that runs through their shared experiences.
KRIS
Hailing from East Texas, Kris comes from a family renowned worldwide in the SCUBA diving industry. Ironically with one foot always in the water, her journey into the world of bartending began during her college years when she started working at the local watering hole. It was love at first pour.
She brings extensive experience from the brand side, having worked as both a brand educator for Cointreau and a Market Manager for Deep Eddy Vodka. This unique perspective has allowed her to understand the intricacies of the delicate yet essential relationship between buyers, suppliers, and distributors.
Passionate about education in all aspects of her life, she effortlessly transferred her SCUBA Instructor educational background to the beverage industry. She finds great fullfillment in diving into advanced spirit education and providing fundamental knowledge training for bar teams.
If she isn’t working, she is traveling the world with her husband drinking a rotating selection of the finest frozen beverages served with banana dolphins. When she’s at home she is cuddling with her wolf pack named after some of her favorite back bar bottles (Whiskey, Mezcal, The Captain, and a kitten named Campari).
Sarah Meyer
a native of Houston, is an accomplished hospitality professional with a remarkable journey spanning over two decades
A proud graduate of the prestigious Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston, Sarah has excelled in various roles, ranging from Service Manager to Sales Manager, accumulating a wealth of expertise and experience along the way.
Driven by her unwavering passion for etiquette and an impeccable eye for detail, Sarah has established herself as a true connoisseur of creating unforgettable experiences. With a keen ability to customize and tailor each milestone event, she goes above and beyond to ensure every occasion is a uniquely remarkable affair.
When Sarah is not orchestrating flawless events, you can find her indulging in the delightful flavors of a refreshing Pimm's Cup, savoring every sip. Meanwhile, her daughter takes part in enchanting tea parties accompanied by their beloved corgis, aptly named Bulleit Rye and Puck.
With Sarah Meyer at the helm, expect nothing less than an exceptional and personalized touch, transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
Kate Freeman
a rebellious soul hailing from the wild heart of Texas, dove headfirst into the thrilling world of hospitality and the seductive art of crafting cocktails 15 years ago.
With an unwavering dedication to her craft, she has honed her skills behind the bar, relentlessly experimenting with spirits and flavor profiles to craft exquisite cocktails that cater to every palate. Kate's expertise extends beyond mixology, encompassing event management and flawless drink execution, ensuring that each guest enjoys a tailored and unforgettable experience.
When asked about her favorite poison, Kate's eyes gleam mischievously as she confesses her unyielding love for the Corpse Reviver No. 2—a wicked elixir that awakens the senses and leaves an indelible mark on the adventurous.
Her commitment to elevating the cocktail culture and delivering unparalleled service shines through in every aspect of her work.
